I LOVE coffee. I always have loved coffee. I can remember as a little Whipper Snapper going around the table after big family dinners, when all the adults were sitting around yacking and drinking coffee, I'd ask for a sips of everyones coffee. My Grandpa used to tell me it would stunt my growth. Which is not true GrandPAW....and if it was I wouldn't have cared. If it were true, I would be sitting on about 5 pillows right now as I write.BECAUSE I LUV you MORE than my COFFEE.....I know it's hard to believe but it's true!!! I couldn't believe it when I told my good friend Dee that my Mom was making me a "I Heart Coffee" apron, and she screeched,
"AAAAhhhhh, I've been working on a print of coffee drinks I want you to give it away with the apron!"
Well then of course I screeched "Kaw-a-BUNGA that Rocks!", and well we nearly got booted out of the restaurant we were having lunch at, for causing such a ruckus! Spoil sports! I have to start my day off with a cup to tea. (It is the British in me)! But at around 2pm I can not get through the day with out a cup of Joe. Unfortunately, I like the full of sugar coffee. Nothing beats a Vanilla Latte (non fat of course). I have even figured out how to make them at home.

ReplyDeleteI love coffee more than dessert. Maddie said one time that if the house was on fire, I would go back in and get my coffee! My favorite is Kona Blend from Hawaii, but I also love Starbucks most any flavor. I also love the flavored creamers (favorite is white choc mocha or mudslide or caramel machiatto or OK I love them all) I really hope I win this time. Awesome prizes!!!!! My kitchen has a coffee theme - that's how much I love coffee. I drink mine with flavored creamer (but admittedly my favorite Bigby or Starbucks drink is a mom-fat Chai Latte).

ReplyDeleteI never acquired a taste for coffee even though my dad drank it every day, however, one of my daughters left home for college & became a hardcore coffee addict. She grinds her beans & I often have to buy a bag of Caribou Coffee beans (her favorite)at Sam's & mail it to her in WY. I like Dee's artwork & my daughter would love this for her kitchen. The apron is to die for! I might have to keep that for myself.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous print and apron! My favorite coffee? Hmmm...at home it's Dunkin' Donuts Cinnamon Spice or simply Folgers Gourmet Supreme with nothing added. On the road it's Biggby's or Starbucks nonfat soy Chai Latte and in a restaurant it's Arnie's Restaurant Hazelnut Creme or IHOP's house coffee with cream and sugar.

ReplyDeleteI like regular coffee with cream and sugar. Not really a fan of flavored coffee and/or creamer but I did get a brief taste of a flavored creamer before the holidays at my cousin's house and have yet to find it in the stores. It was Buttercream and is was just LUSCIOUS!!! But I guess they no longer think it's LUSCIOUS because they NO LONGER MAKE IT!!!! Go figure.
I LOVE coffee. I try to limit it to two cups a day so I'm not wall-bouncing, but often it sneaks up to three or four! My favorite coffee splurge is a Grande Nutty Buddy from Bigby. I do FF/SF for less guilt!

ReplyDeleteI take it straight up black daily but I do love me a mocha or vanilla latte every once in a while. I usually get through at least 3 cups or more by 1pm....and then sometimes need an afternoon pick me up too!

However with my expanding waste line and shrinking wallet, I typically go for coffee made at home with sugar-free flavored creamer. Every morning... don't know what I would do without my coffee!! ReplyDeleteYou know I LOVE coffee S! If I'm out, my fav is a Vanilla Latte Breve. When I'm in I grind 1/2 c. of Segafredo Zanetti (Italian) coffee beans and have a nice pot of French Press coffee w/ Vanilla creamer. Yum Yum. PS....Your Mom does excellent work with making aprons. I love it.

ReplyDeleteI love coffee, but didn't start drinking it until I was in my 30's. I usually drink it with flavored creamer unless it's with dessert -- then I take it black. My favorite coffee drink is a Mocha Coconut Frappuccino!! It's like a Mounds candy bar in liquid form!! My daughter discovered a recipe for them so we can make them at home. Yum!! Cute apron!!

Hi Sheila! First of all, I love your blog. Okay now to the coffee part. I absolutely LOVE iced mochas! My order is so complicted that I embarrassed myself the first time I ordered one in Iowa. (By the way, Peet's Tea and Coffee make the BEST iced mochas) They must have thought I was high maintenance or something. I have traveled an hour just to get one here. "I would like an iced mocha, no whip, soymilk...wait do you have regular or is it vanilla, because I just like regular, and please put peppermint in it. Please make it a grande!" And then I proceed to explain why I need a grande. Oh boy....

If I'm splurging, I go for a 2-pump, extra hot, non-fat mocha from Starbucks (or as my husband says, "high maintenance" cofee order :)

I just realized I didn't share the MOST IMPORTANT part of my daily coffee experience with you! Every morning while I'm in the shower (or before I even wake up) my wonderful husband makes our coffee. MOST days I have it hand-delivered to me while I'm doing my make-up/hair. He is such a GREAT guy! I certainly can't forget to mention THAT (esp with v-day right around the corner!)

I love Coffee! And it's 9:48 am and I am yet to have any this morning, ahhh, I need to get to that right away! At home, I like it with just milk, At coffee shops I like non-fat frapachino's or non-fat latte's. And I think I am most picky with my 7-11/ gas station coffee (I honestly love it from 7-11 or my local Forest Hills Fuel), 1st I add ice in the bottom of the cup then its about 60% fatfree french vanilla and 40% regular coffee. Yumm Yummm!
