Blessed a Mothers Day GIVEAWAY!

Mothers Day is one week away. I am always overwhelmed with gratitude on Mothers Day. I have been blessed with four amazing children! And I also am blessed to be surrounded by many amazing women! My Mom, my Grandmothers, Mother-n-laws, Aunts, my Mom's friends who are like mothers to me, friends, different women at church and in my community. All mothers.

All inspire and bless me daily!

Several years back I felt compelled to reach out and let some of these women know, how much they meant to me. I wanted to encourage them, and let them know that I noticed what awesome mothers, grandmothers, and aunts they are! Because sometimes being a mother can be a little thankless.

I bought a box of Day Spring cards, then I made a list of women. I told each one exactly how they inspired me and how BLESSED I was to have them in my life. I hadn't intended this to be something I would do every year, but when one mother told me, with tears in her eyes, that the card I had sent her was the only card she had received for Mothers Day that year....first I went and kicked her husband in the keester and then I decided I needed to try and do this every year. Sometimes, the women I send cards to, are women I hardly know, but they came to mind so I send them a card. (I was just kidding about the keester part by the way...but I thought about it.)

Over the last year and a half this blog has put me in touch with so many amazing women! (and some amazing men too!) I wanted to do something to tell you how much you bless me everyday. You encourage and inspire me in so many ways. I don't know what I would do with out you! Really! No foolin! Ok, I'm starting to tear up. Don't make me cry!

One of the amazing women that this blog has connected me with is Robin. Robin was one of my first readers. (Bless her heart.) We met and have gotten together several times. Robin is designing my new adventure...Eat 2gather...more about that later. Robin is not only a wife and mother, she is also a Graphic Designer/Web Designer, AND she has her own jewelry line Design Smith, which you can check out on her Etsy Store. God has put some REALLY incredible women in my life, sometimes I have to pinch myself I can't believe how blessed I am!

Because you all are so awesome, and I am so blessed to have you in my life! I asked Robin if she would be willing to do a giveaway! She said YES! She created the two beautiful pendants. I am THE reluctant entertainer,not sure if it is an excuse, but I just don't like it-makes me nervous for weeks in advance,oooh and so crabby. My mom and my sister love it, they make it look and seem effortless, I admire that, but I just don't have it. I do love to go to parties and I will gladly contribute in any way I can- I am also known to bring a good hostess gift every now and then:}.

You will love this book, it is full of useful information that hopefully will help you get over your anxioty of entertaining.

It's Day 5 in my "Week of LUV"! Sandy Coughlin is giving away a signed copy of her book The Reluctant Entertainer! I am so excited! It was hard to wait until today to share this giveaway with you!!!!

After the responses I received the first time that I shared Sandy's book with you, I knew that somehow I had to do another GIVEAWAY of her book. I LOVE coffee. I always have loved coffee. I can remember as a little Whipper Snapper going around the table after big family dinners, when all the adults were sitting around yacking and drinking coffee, I'd ask for a sips of everyones coffee. My Grandpa used to tell me it would stunt my growth. Which is not true GrandPAW....and if it was I wouldn't have cared. If it were true, I would be sitting on about 5 pillows right now as I write.

Black Heels to Tractor Wheels is the REAL life Love Story of how Ree, a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman, met Ladd, a.k.a. Marlboro Man. Left her big job in the city and married MM and moved to the Ranch!

(Oh my! Go back and sing that last line to the tune of Proud Mary! I need to do a podcast one of these days.)

I am beyond excited to get my paws on this novel!!! I have only read the beginning online, and then my eyeballs fell out! And I said a long heart felt prayer (Because to be honest, I cain't read that many words on my computer screen) that Ree would put this love story of hers into the form of a book. Not an E-book. A crawl into bed and snuggle under the covers kinda book.

Yeh-HOOO my prayers were answered!

Black Heels to Tractor Wheels was released on February 1st! Just in time for my Week of Luv! Thanks Ree, that worked out just dandy. I had pre-ordered a couple books, when I found out that My Neck of the Woods was not on Ree's book tour. I pouted for a day or two then I got over it. I'm gonna get that girl to Grand Rapids yet!

Ree we have a JW Marriott. It would be a fantastic addition to your Hotel Room Tour. (wink)
